- Most shops will tell you that you need a new steering rack but 99% of the time it's these bushings which are easy to change. Please properly inspect your steering before you go out and spend bucks on a new rack.
- Failed rubbers cause the steering ram to slide from side to side so if you find your steering wheel is angled at different angles for the same vehicle direction/tire direction, then check if these have worn.
- Original steering rack pinion bushings were always damaged by leaking oil, so make sure you clean the area to remove oil and solve the leak!
