Most noticeably is a rounded stern. This change increases stability in choppy waters dramatically. In addition to increased handling across the board, a rounded tail also lends itself to improved top end speed. Top speed was a central factor in design and testing for Starboard, and we’ve heard rumors the 2024/2025 All Star re-design resulted in speed increases of 2+ mph, which in SUP terms is DRAMATIC.

Along with the rounded stern of the board, we also find new rounded off bottom nose rails at the bow. This update reduces the impact of side chop on the front of the board, allowing for a more comfortable and stable ride. With all of these changes, we get a bonus result of decreased volume across sizes. Not only does this mean the 2024/2025 All Star is lighter than ever, but the lighter weight/lower volume allows better top end speed, increased balance, and improved control in the harshest water conditions.
